Die Ehe von Angela und Émile ist weder frei von Spannungen, noch gänzlich ohne Harmonie – eine normale Ehe, könnte man sagen. Auffällig ist allenfalls der Kontrast zwischen der Frau, einer verträumten Stripperin, und dem Mann, der dagegen eher konventionell erscheint. Wobei diese Formulierung wohl etwas übertrieben ist, denn konventionell ist an „Eine Frau ist eine Frau“ eigentlich rein gar nichts. Eines Tages offenbart Angela ihrem Mann, dass sie ein Kind haben möchte, wovon dieser nicht gerade begeistert ist.
