Die junge Eiskunstläuferin Nadja gilt als vielversprechendes Nachwuchstalent in der Eissportszene. Doch ihr Traum von einer großen Karriere wird schon bald von einem tragischen Unfall überschattet: Kurz vor einem wichtigen Wettkampf stürzt sie und verletzt sich schwer. Sie kann ihre Beine nicht mehr bewegen und muss fortan in einem Rollstuhl sitzen. Niedergeschlagen von ihrem Schicksal zieht sich Nadja immer weiter zurück, bis sie auf den Eishockeyspieler Sasha trifft, der ihr wieder neue Hoffnung gibt.
