Behrendt), pierwszego oficera Hansa Ewalda (Jan Josef Liefers) oraz kapitana Ludwiga Lewerenza (Herbert Knaup). Ten ostatni, naciskany przez armatora, zdecydował o wypłynięciu w rejs, choć zdawał sobie sprawę z tego, że statek nie jest odpowiednio przygotowany.
