Raoul Kraft žije sám a živí sa výrubom stromov. Správa, že jeho syn zahynul pri autonehode, ho zasiahne ako blesk z jasného neba. Polícia prípad uzavrela ako jasný prípad. Raoula však nájde mladá žena, ktorá tvrdí, že to nebola obyčajná nehoda. Hovorí o farmaceutických experimentoch, ktoré sa na prvý pohľad zdajú byť výplodom chorej fantázie. Raoulov syn však pracoval v experimentálnom farmaceutickom laboratóriu. Testoval nové lieky a skúmal ich vedľajšie účinky. Keď Raoul začne vyšetrovať možné motívy vraždy svojho syna, ocitne sa v smrteľnom nebezpečenstve. Nevie, kto sú tí muži a prečo chcú zabiť jeho a neznámu ženu.
