　　晚秋的丈夫谢若林，一直对余则成谄媚，原来他是党通局（原中统）的特务，只不过，他却是利用贩卖情报来中饱私囊。余则成觉得必须要小心这个人。翠平得知余则成与晚秋曾经有过一段短暂的感情后非常窝火，但当她目睹谢若林欺负晚秋的时候她还是义不容辞的帮晚秋出头，没想到这却引起了谢若林的一丝怀疑。李涯觉得自己办事总比稽查队的人晚到一步，屡屡失手，这当中确实有些蹊跷，他派人调查陆桥山，发现陆与稽查队的人暗中来往。明白原委后的李涯打算实施报复。余则成成功的抓捕了逃犯季委民，又顺便替站长捞了一笔，站长大喜，马上向总部请功并顺利的为余则成拿到了中校的晋升令。李涯施计引陆桥山上钩，陆果然约见稽查队的人报信。一心想陷害李涯并将其一举扳倒的陆桥山，根本没意识到这一切都是李涯设下的圈套，结果稽查队的人被李涯悉数抓回。陆桥山棋差一招，沦为了私欲膨胀、拿着党国利益官报私仇的罪人。
